Worn by Adam Ant in the 1970s and early 1980s, Stand and Deliver” was Adam and the Ants’ most successful single. It entered the UK Top 40 at Number One on 9 May 1981 and remained there for five weeks.  The original waistcoat then came to become a symbolic icon of the legendary musician.
